Here’s a new book (just released this month, February 2016) that I love.
It’s meant for girls, ages 9-13, but women will love it, too.
I sure do!
Girl Plus Pen
It’s called Girl Plus Pen and it’s designed to help you “doodle, draw, color, and express your individual style.”
It’s part of the Craft It Yourself series from Capstone publishers.
Do You Love to Doodle?
Whether you’ve always loved to doodle, or you’d just like to start doodling, you’ll get all sorts of inspiration from this attractive new book.
It can become your own personal art journal – so it’s good that the cover is nice and sturdy and the pages are thick enough to use markers and colored inks on without bleed-through to the next page.
I love zentangle, and there are plenty of pages in the journal where I can create fanciful “tangles.”
But the book offers much more than that, including…
• Coloring pages (with designs to simply color)
• Other illustrations that are simple outlines to fill in however you would like
• Tips for taking your doodling off the page (with photos to illustrate the tips)
There’s even a page that shows different ways to add doodles to photographs.
Just be sure to get a copy for yourself, too!
